Forever Love- Maja Design

Hello lovely scrappers! I continue in the mood to make Spring pages, here in North Carolina everything is turning green and blooming, it looks so pretty! Today I share with you another spring page using various Maja Design collections: Vintage Spring Basics, Vintage Summer Basics, Vintage Autumn Basics and Walking in the Forest collection.

Here are my kids and this photo make me laugh, I was taking a photo of these two and I said "cheese" and my kids put these funny faces at the same time, lol, that every time I see this photo make me smile and I wanted use it in a page and finally I did it.  I'm playing in OUAS and B71B challenges with my page. I was inspired in the OUAS April sketch and the theme and made the flowers by hand like B71B challenge.
Some fussy cutting (clocks) from the XVI paper-Vintage Autumn Basics collection.

I love dimension on my work so I draped the paper and I used 3-d dots.

All the flowers except the big one are handmade with the 5th of April paper- Vintage Spring Basics.

I added textures with molding paste, gesso, Ranger inks and acrylic paints in my background work.

Supplies: Vintage Autumn Basics: XVI, XXII, Vintage Spring Basics:4th of April, Vintage Summer Basics 1904 and Walking in the Forest: The color of fall paper, Martha Steward border punches, Liquitex-gesso, Ranger Inks, Acrylic paints

I put my journaling in the back of my page...

Welcome Spring with Maja Design - April Moodboard

Hello! Finally looks like Spring is coming here and it make me happy!! I love to see all beautiful flowers and the trees are wearing green leaves!
Today I share with you this spring page I made about my DD Paola using one of my favorite collection...Vintage Spring Basics by Maja Design.  My inspiration was a full pleated skit that I made a time ago and I created the same effect with the Maja Design papers.

I tie the tag with a jute and added cheesecloth around the flowers.

I cut the tags, butterflies and the tittle from the "Days to remember" paper

All the flowers are from Prima and I made the leaves using two punches one from Martha Steward and the other from Stamping Up.

Supplies: Days to Remember, 4th, 6th and 7th of May papers by Vintage Spring Basics collection, Prima flowers, Martha Steward & Stamping Up punches, Liquitex gesso, acrylic paint.

It's April and Maja Design has a new mood board that has a Easter theme and is based in the Vintage Spring Basics collection...

My Creative Scrapbook -April Limited Edition kit

Hello lovely scrappers!!!  It's another month...   and it's time for the April reveal at My Creative Scrapbook kits...Four new kits for every scrap style plus many add-on.
This month I worked with the Limited Edition kit that is featuring CratePaper..."Oh Darling" and so much more...
Here's my first page..for this page I cut the doilies from one of the papers and used them like layers behind for photo, by the way the photo is a memory of DD Paola when she was four years old.

I made an embellishment cluster using the chipboard, stickers, flowers and wood butterflies from the kit.

I love this photo of my girl.

I cut only half of the paper doily the other part I used it in my bottom portion of my page.

2-The Sweetest of Moment

I played the chevron design paper and mixed with this lovely flower paper.  I added some gesso, molding paste, stencil and the sequins in the background .  I cut my tittle from one of the Crate papers.
Prima flower and these wood leaves from the kit.

I put my second photo inside of this envelope that comes in the kit.

My third page.....

Well I made a mess in this page, I was playing with textures and different elements from the kit to create a textured background and this was the result..It isn't my style but it's ok sometimes  to get out of my comfort zone and play with new styles...don't you think?

Here you can see all the layers I made with different textures and elements from the kit...

Love all these elements from the kit :  Air hot balloons, dress, butterflies, pockets, arrows...  you will found many pieces like these to work with...

4- An altered project...

For my last project,  I made a box.  First, I covered with paper and gesso, the I glued stickers, chipboard, cards, sequins around the box and the applied a lite coat of gesso.

Around the lid, I glued some chipboard and in the top I created like a display with all the beautiful chipboard pieces.

For the final touches, I added these pretty bows, flowers and little pieces from the kit.  Now my girl has a pretty box for keeping her bows and things.

Sisters...Prima BAP

When I saw the March BAP at Prima I said.."Hmmm" I have to try it.  And after thinking for several hours...(lol)... this was my inspiration. I worked with two of my favorites Delight and Divine collections by Prima.  In the photo my sister Karen and me a few years ago, now that I'm living here, oh gosh how much I miss her and the girls.

March sketch

I made the same sketch's design but at my style, draping some areas, giving textures with a Prima stencil and molding paste and painting.

I also added some Prima lace and this metal clock.

Chipboard, wood buttons and stamp by Prima.

Hello everyone!!  Today I'm sharing this page that I made with the Vintage Summer Basics Collection by Maja Design.
She's my dear daughter Paola when she was 8 old month how times flies...   I'm also playing at Scrap Africa in their Stars and Stitching challenge.

March-My Creative Sketch and a step by step Tutorial....

Hi!! I'm showing today my last page created with the gorgeous March Limited Edition kit by My Creative Scrapbook.  I made this page inspired in the new sketch for March at My Creative Sketches designed by Liz Chidester.

March Sketch

The Randow Draw Prize...

I made a step by step tutorial about how I made my page and used the stamp that comes in the kit.
Let's get started...

I selected these materials from the LE kit and the sketch to start working my page.

I stamped several times in an ivory cardstock with the Prima stamp from the kit.

Cut all the stamped frames with a craft knife.

With a mask and homemade molding paste I created a deign similar to the sketch.

You can see here the design and the textures...

I made some fussy cutting from this paper (leaves)

I also cut two birds from this paper...

I glued  two of the frames on my photos.

I placed the photos and frames using the March sketch like inspiration.

I glued all the frames and photos and started to decorate around them with the leaves and the  Prima flowers from the kit.

To soften the color I applied a lite coat of gesso to all the Prima  flowers.

Then with a paintbrush and a distress ink I applied color around the frames and photos.

And I gave the final details with the chipboard, brads and embellishments from the LE kit...

I hope this inspire you.... to reserve a kit go HERE
